• In April 2022, The Progeny Group acquired The RU Group • The RU Group were established in their current form in 2003, but the origins of the business date back over 100 years. In October 2021, The One Four Nine Group acquired Charter Financial Planning the trading name of Charter Wealth Management Ltd. Charter Financial Planning has a 40-year history offering a comprehensive suite of financial planning services to clients in Preston and the North-West area. The business has three experienced advisers and eight support staff with £100m in AUM. Our role included identifying the buyer and advising on the structure and terms of the sale. “The sale of our business, which is now approaching forty years since it was formed, was a very emotional venture and one which without the help and guidance provided by Roderic Rennison and his partner John Chapman I doubt could have been achieved so successfully.” By initially identifying a variety of suitable vendors, known to them by their extensive contacts we had a wider range to choose from than had attempted to do the same ourselves.

On 14th June 2021, The Perspective Group acquired Bowman Financial Planning Ltd. The firm was acquired on 14th June 2021 by Perspective Financial Group Ltd (Perspective), a leading national firm of financial planners and wealth managers with a network of 18 local offices across the UK. Our role was to advise Paul Catling, the owner of Bowman Financial Planning Ltd on the structure and terms of the sale. “I met Roderic at a seminar in September 2019 and was immediately impressed by his knowledge of the marketplace and, in particular, the ‘movers and shakers’. Roderic advised me on the process of selling my business, the strengths and weaknesses of my proposition, the legal team I should employ, the likely interested parties and the sale price and terms I was likely to achieve. ▪  Our role included identifying the buyer and advising on the structure and terms of the sale.

▪  Tower Hill Associates is a Financial Planning Firm specialising in investment and retirement planning based in Richmond serving clients in South West London, Surrey and the Thames Valley, and was founded by John and Yvonne Lang in 2006.

▪  Our role included assisting in the negotiations and working with Tower Hill Associates to conclude the sale.
